Banks are like the old powerful movie studios of the 1930s and 1940s in that they failed to realize that TV had great technological potential. They ignored it and thought it would go away. These studios were mostly broken up or gone by 1950. The big banks are doing EXACTLY this, only with Financial Technology today.
